The Owens Foundation for Wildlife Conservation

The Owens Foundation for Wildlife Conservation is a charitable organization which currently sponsors Delia and Mark's North Luangwa Conservation Project in Zambia. The project is attempting to recover North Luangwa Park and the surrounding wilderness areas from commercial poachers by strengthening game guard law enforcement programs, by sponsoring conservation education, and by involving local villagers in benefits from the area's wildlife. The project plans to expand its model programs to protect other endangered habitats and animals in Africa. If you would like to help in this important work, you may make tax-deductible donations to:

  About the Authors

Delia and Mark Owens are the authors of Secrets of the Savanna and Cry of the Kalahari, an international bestseller and winner of the John Burroughs Medal. Their scientific studies of endangered species in the wild have resulted in landmark discoveries, and their work to conserve elephants by assisting villagers continues after twenty years. They lecture widely on behalf of the Owens Foundation for Wildlife Conservation.
